Bill Harris FIA BSc (Hons)
Managing Director

Bill is a qualified actuary with over 30 years' pensions experience. He started his career in 1992 at HSBC Actuaries and Consulting (now JLT Benefit Solutions), where he worked as a consultant, playing a fundamental role in the development of valuation procedures.
In 2001 he moved to Bacon and Woodrow. After their merger with Hewitt, he spent two years heading up a team responsible for all automated administration calculations.
In 2005 he got involved in the concept of creating a valuation centre at Hewitt, and spent his last 18 months there making this concept a reality. He defined and implemented the technical valuation processes, and built and headed up its UK team of 20 staff. Bill set up ExactVAL early in 2007.

In his spare time, Bill plays rugby and runs marathons. He recently retired as chairman of a national charity (the UK Narcolepsy Association) and is chairman of an award-winning investment club.

Andy Probyn FIA BA
Actuary 

Andy is a qualified actuary with extensive experience in pensions, built up at Bacon & Woodrow, Hewitt Associates, Verulam Consultants and Gemmell Financial Services Limited, where he worked before joining ExactVAL in 2018. He has focused mainly on final salary schemes and has been a Scheme Actuary since 1997, but also has significant experience of other areas, including money purchase pensions (both occupational and personal pension), automatic enrolment, flexible benefits and pensions administration. 
Andy is also a volunteer adviser with The Pensions Ombudsman's dispute resolution team (previously The Pensions Advisory Service).

Winnie Li BSc
Senior Valuation Technician

Winnie is a part-qualified actuary with 20 years’ experience in pensions. She started her career at Entegria Limited, moving to HSBC Actuaries and Consultants Limited in 2001.
She worked as an actuarial technician and was involved in a wide range of actuarial work within a consulting environment, including carrying out actuarial valuations, preparing pension scheme disclosures and training junior staff. She also worked as a shadow consultant to a number of schemes. She moved to ExactVAL in 2011. 

Richard Corrall BSc (Hons)
Senior Valuation Technician

Richard is a part qualified actuary (DAT) and has over 15 years’ experience in the employee benefits sector – the majority working with DB schemes. Until 2017 he worked for Willis Towers Watson – initially on the traditional DB consulting side and latterly expanding to health and group benefits both in the UK and the USA. He spent his last two years managing the automation of admin calculations for a number of large clients.  

James Teasdale MA BSc (Hons)
Senior Valuation Technician

James is a part-qualified actuary (DAT) with over 15 years’ experience in pensions and employee benefits. He started his career at HSBC Actuaries and Consultants in 1996, moving to Towers Perrin (now WTW) in 1999. James originally joined ExactVAL in 2007 when the company was first set up and has developed many of the systems and models used to maximise efficiency in its work. He has also worked as a statistician for the Ministry of Justice, as a financial journalist, and carried out contract roles for insurance companies, including Prudential and Munich Re.

Divyangi Shamji BSc (Hons)
Valuation Technician

Divyangi is a student member of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries and joined us in March 2022. This is her first job after graduating with a degree in Actuarial Science. She has undertaken training and is now a member of the valuation team and continues to work towards qualifying as Fellow of the Institute.

Sheel Shah FIA
Actuary

Sheel is a qualified actuary with 7 years of experience in the pensions consulting industry. He began his career at Willis Towers Watson in the UK, and spent a few years in East Africa in operational/commercial roles helping grow small and medium-sized businesses. He then decided to return to actuarial work and joined us in January 2023. In his spare time he will either be travelling or playing golf.

Ellie Dalton BSc (Hons)
Valuation Technician

Ellie is a student member of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries and joined us in February 2023. She spent 7 years teaching Maths in schools in London and Australia before making a career change. She has undertaken training and is now a member of the valuation team and continues to work towards qualifying as Fellow of the Institute.
